The Tele-Ride binding is a rugged device with a single moveable part - the binding plate - which allows the rear telemark binding to travel along a track.
The concept is simple and effective:
In the upright (forward)
position, you ride in the correct Teleboard position. Your knees flex
forward to initiate a turn, your front boot rests flat on the board while
your rear boot heel lifts.
The pressure applied to the track as a result of lifting your back heel holds you in position. You can remain comfortably in this position as you execute quick, short-swing turns!
Now shift your weight back a bit and lower your rear boot heel. The Tele-Ride Binding releases and slides smoothly as you "kick back" - just like on your tele-skis! Crouch low and let your back knee drop and you're carving a wide, sweeping tele-turn! You can ride in the "way back" position or, pop up after each turn and look like a tele-skier on a snowboard!
The Tele-Ride binding track floats at the its back end, so when your board flexes the track does not. This means you can still slide along the track when you need to.
